Dr. Georgia L. McMurray's own remarkable life proves that a physical challenge of any kind — whether an early pregnancy or a rare disease — need not be a limitation to excellence.

CCM opened the doors of Georgia's Place in May. Named after the late Dr. Georgia McMurray, CCM's founding chairperson, Georgia's Place will be welcoming 48 residents who are homeless and in need of mental health services. This renovated building in Bedford-Stuyvesant has an on-site mental health clinic and offers case management so that residents can get the supportive services they need to stabilize their lives.
